Here are a couple of songs that we wrote and played often. Please note that there is some language in these songs so listen accordingly.

3-5-7

3-5-7 was a song that was written lyrically mostly by Rob Linblad with collaboration from the rest of the band. Musically, the song had been around since as early as the first time the band jammed. Lacking a vocalist early on helped in writing multiple songs musically. When the time came that the band had a vocalist and lyrics had been written, there were many songs to choose from.

The title of the song has been around since it was first written as it reflected the progression on guitar and bass as being the 3rd, 5th & 7th frets thus the name 3-5-7. There was also a related song in the early days called 5-7-3 which progressed from the 5th, 7th and 3rd frets.

This Version of 3-5-7 was recorded at Rob & Tina's house where the band jammed toward the end of 1995 & the beginning of 1996 while Greg was living with them.

PAMELA

Pamela was a song written lyrically by Rob Linblad who was the singer. He wrote it due to His, at that time, admiration of actress Pamela Anderson. It was a favorite among the guys, but the girlfriends always hated it!!! Musically, the song had existed since 1995 when the band first started writing music.

This version of Pamela was recorded at Jeff's house around 1997. This included Nathan Perkins who was added to the group. This is quite possibly the best version of the song because of the dual guitars making it sound heavier.

THE LINEUP:

Jeff Dion - Guitar
Rob Linblad - Vocals
Greg Simmons - Bass
Mark Rich - Drums
Nathan "Nate" Perkins - Guitar

GREEN HORIZONS

Green Horizons was written lyrically by Rob Linblad. It was written about smoking marijuana and partying. Two things the band were familiar with at the time. It did explore the dark side of partying TOO much. Musically this song had been around early on. One time jokingly it was named "Coke Hitters". Mark had shouted this out after earlier in the day Chad threw a McDonalds drink at a person jogging while the band was driving around.

This version of Green Horizons was recorded the same day as Pamela.

THE LINEUP:

Jeff Dion - Guitar
Rob Linblad - Vocals
Greg Simmons - Bass
Mark Rich - Drums
Nathan "Nate" Perkins - Guitar

ALWAYS

Always was written lyrically by Rob Linblad. This was the first song brought to us by Nate. It had a really heavy feel to it and we loved it right away. This song was written in it's entirety in two weeks. Always was the quickest we had ever written a song. This was a good example of how much Nate improved the band when He joined. We had a new excitement to be creative and it motivated us.

This version of Always was recorded the same day as Pamela & Green Horizons.

BECKY

Becky was a song that had been kicking around for a long time. The song is an ode to Greg's younger sister Becky. The song was improvised vocally every time it was sung by Chad Ashworth who had "written" the song. This was always a staple at the practices. usually sung after everyone had been partying.

This version was recorded at Greg's house in the fall of 1995.

Mark and Rob switched instruments for this particular performance of Becky.
